Influenced by his experiences in Milan and drawing from his cultural background, Bahk’s installations fuse architecture, culture, and personal beliefs. Using natural materials like charcoal, he creates monumental installations that seemingly defy gravity, presenting everyday objects in a new light, detached from their original context.

Thematic exploration in Bahk’s work revolves around the natural cycle of life and humanity’s relationship with nature. His Aggregation series, resembling various household structures, challenges viewers to reconsider their connection to the natural world. By suspending charcoal pieces with nylon filaments, Bahk activates space, fostering a dialogue between the environment and the artwork.

Bahk is an internationally acclaimed artist, boasting numerous prestigious accolades, including the renowned Kim Chong Yung Sculpture Award. His work has been showcased in prominent international exhibitions at institutions such as the Daejeon Museum of Art in South Korea, the Seoul Museum of Art, the Haifa Museum in Israel, and San Carlo Borromeo in Milan, Italy. Furthermore, his pieces have been acquired by a multitude of significant public and private collections worldwide.
