ART OF THE WORLD GALLERY CELEBRATES ACCLAIMED ARTIST SOPHIA VARI IN QUARTERLY EXHIBITION AT LIVELY LAUNCH EVENT

Distinguished Houston art gallery hosts intimate fete to debut brand new exhibition from acclaimed Greek artist Sophia Vari

HOUSTON — On Thursday, October 12, Art of the World Gallery hosted an exclusive launch party of its new exhibition featuring the paintings and sculptures of acclaimed artist Sophia Vari, a world-renowned Greek artist. Her works have been exhibited all over the globe. Influential Houstonians, including art advocates and collectors, mingled at Art of the World Gallery as they milled about marveling at Vari’s works.

With hor d’oeuvres provided by Cafe Annie, guests celebrated Sophia Vari’s influential fragmented and abstract geometrical art and jewelry. When not surrounded by Vari’s famed works, guests could peruse the work of the gallery’s other artists, Fernando Botero, Carole Feuerman, Julio Larraz, Mr. Brainwash, and Gustavo Vélez, among others.

Distinguished notables spotted in the crowd of attendees included Diane Lokey Farb, Art of the World Gallery Directors Liliana Molina and Mauricio Vallejo, the daughter of Sophia Vari Ileana Bouboulis, Deshane Nelson, Marcelo Saenz of BeDESIGN, Giorgio and Maria Bassa, Azucena Canales, Felipe Castillo, Diane Angel, Rodolfo Guerra, Silvia Salle, and Johanna Donson.

After the lively launch, Art of the World Gallery took some of its most esteemed patrons to dine in Cafe Annie’s newest private room, Annie Hall, for a sit down three-course prix fixe dinner featuring marinated wood grilled octopus and beef carpaccio, gulf red snapper, filet mignon, and a host of desserts.

Art of the World Gallery is pleased to present The Art of Sophia Vari. The exhibition will be open to the public, running October 12 through January 6, 2018.
